Stunning views of Mt Rainer reflected off the lake. Beautiful for sunset. Very busy spot. If you aren't already in the park, expect a long line of cars for entry (possibly up to 3 hours!). Take the trail around the lake to escape the crowds and enjoy beautiful views.
Reflection Lake offers a mystical experience for those fortunate enough to witness its calm, mirror-like waters capturing the imposing elegance of Mount Rainier. The lake, nestled amidst nature’s abundant splendor, provides an ethereal view, making every visit a memorable photographic opportunity. However, patience and a dash of luck are your companions, as the lake’s tranquil waters revealing the iconic reflection are not a daily guarantee. This natural gem, a blend of elusive grace and scenic beauty, warrants a visit for both the ardent nature enthusiast and the casual visitor.

One of the must-visit attractions in Mount Rainier National Park is Reflection Lake. You simply cannot miss it be it a sunny day or not. Thankfully the day we visited was fully shiny and bright, hence we could see the reflection. It certainly looks out of the books, it's really hard to believe that something could be so picturesque. The view reminded me of many pictures and the fridge magnets that I had seen with the reflection lake's picture on them. There are a couple of benches to sit and enjoy the view. However, when we visited the area was under maintenance so you could not touch the water or go into it. Besides that, you will still enjoy the view as you see the shadow move from left to right as the day progresses.
A must if your in the area on a decent day. It’s a very short easy hike to get the main view of Mt Rainier reflecting on the lake. Road side pull off views are available also but you won’t get the full mountain reflection from those
Must visit spot in Mt. Rainier NP. Visited on a sunny day on our way to Paradise but it was little windy and didn’t see the reflection.
Nice place to have a short walk, very peaceful and beautiful spot. Parking is limited along the roadside.
Road are clear of snow, but road was close to get up there. Pretty much was 3 mile round trip. We went on sunrise and it was so beautiful. Not that cold weather. It look great at night too.
Beautiful lake. Please only walk on trail and protect this fragile area. If you are here on a calm day, you should be able to see mt rainier's reflection here.
